Teaching

The Centre for Transport & Society (CTS) offers an MSc in Transport Planning and contributes to the teaching of transport on a number of other postgraduate and undergraduate courses at the University of the West of England (UWE).

MSc in Transport Planning

The MSc covers the essentials for those wishing to pursue a career in transport planning, whilst having a distinctive emphasis on the social context in which transport operates.

  • MA Town and Country Planning – a postgraduate course in spatial planning with the opportunity to specialise in transport planning
  • BA(Hons)/MPlan Town and Country Planning - a three year undergraduate course in spatial planning that can be followed by an additional year’s study to obtain a Master’s qualification and which provides the opportunity to specialise in transport
  • Certificate Traffic Engineering – a course designed for engineering technicians and graduates working in highway and traffic departments
